Our body requires 500 milligrams of sodium per day for a proper functioning muscles and nerves. But the adults take in more than 2300 milligrams of sodium per day. When the quantity of sodium becomes large, it would pump more blood for which the heart should work more and resulting in High Blood pressure. It is well known that high blood pressure will always lead to Heart disease. Take minimum salt and stay healthy.
